If you have a log in the form log_a (b) [_a is a subscript], the change of base is:

log b/log a

You can use the natural log, too.

ln b/ln a

So, in your case, you can evaluate it by punching log 2/log 5 in your calculator.

log(5)(2) = (log(2))/(log(5)) = .430677
