I got this new game for my DS called Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team and I can NOT beat Moltres...?

and I don't have a water pokemon. I'm a charmander(LV. 27) and my partner is treecko(LV.24)... Oh and I have NO ITEAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... Please Help...

I made it but I did it another way some how my Ember worked the best... Weird...

people, she was talking about the first time you fight moltres, and it's only level 30

don't worry about type advantages, worry about your LEVEL

My strategy is look through your Treecko's attack list, and press A and click on switch to take the star off on attacks that won't be effective on Moltres. Then go to his IQ list and put on Exclusive Move User. This will make Treecko only use special moves, not his A button attack.

Either that, or leave the save point and stock up on items. Just keep trying. Sometimes Moltres does some stupid things and causes himself to lose to the battle. Be warned, he is about level 45.

this is not going to be easy seening that you don't have any item and any pokemon that has advandagde with moltress,well i advise that you level up your pokemon somemore but still you don't have any water pokemon never mind you say that you ember work the best then just use ember from charmander and follow by treecko's best attack that will take him down after some time,and my team was not like you i'm now at the mew part and my team is:typlosion LV:67 steelix LV:64 pikachu LV65, when i was at the part same like you i only have a cynthequil at LV28 and a pikachu at LV26,it is easy for me to defeat motress because i had my pikachu i defeat moltress with a a few thundershock from my pikachu and a ember from my cynthequil.

Search the dungeon until you find the tm attract and use it on moltres. every time it stops being infatuated use it again. that's what i did, also i was a charmander too!

By the way, on my red mystery dungeon, i have a level 100 swampart!
