There are many different kinds, here are a few.
Cumulous- Large, Puffy, usually with a flat bottom. They are often not very high up, but not low either.
Stratus- Layered, they kind of look like a bunch of chunks of cotton balls that someone ripped apart. They are low in the sky.
Cirris- VERY high clouds that are almost see through, they are made of little bits of ice crystals.
-nimbus- any type of cloud associated with rain that is dark. So if it's a cumuolus cloud that is dark, ready to produce rain, it's a cumulonimbus cloud. Same with stratus, and cirrus.
