Back in May, I left the company because I was fed up about something and there was no improvement about it. After a week, my boss (from the department) worked out stuff with me, and I returned. Recently, I have had a feeling that the management of the department wants to suck out all my knowledge of the network system of the company. It sounds like for an assurance if something happens on me again, they will not lose what I know of the system and have someone to take my place immediately without affecting the overall system operation. I don't know what am I supposed to do about this. I'm losing confidence of people. Doesn't matter how close you and your co-workers are; it seems like we're just using each other to get the job done and get paid. Am I thinking too much? I feel like if I don't protect myself in some ways, people will eat me alive, and I will have nothing left. I'm not ready to leave this company yet because of something, but I'm sure preparing of doing so...

I really made a bad mistake of returning to the company.

Several years ago I did the same thing. I left, got asked to come back by a different manager three months later and then left again six months after that because the new manager got fired. I found out at that time that upper management in that company was totally corrupt. Since then, I have had great relationships with all my managers and companies. All I can say is if you don't feel right, don't stay. If you are working somewhere 40 hours a week, then you are spending most of your waking time there and I believe that no amount of money is worth making yourself miserable most of the time. Do yourself a favor and find something where you can work with people you can trust and that you know trust you.

Once a person leaves a company or job, it's not the same when you return the second time. You usually don't feel any better after returning. In the meantime, you should place your resume around of some other reputable companies, that you might want to search for. There's an old saying, " You can't mix friendship with money. It's one or the other. Sounds like you have a lot of knowledge and potential going for you. Use that talent and skill that you have and place it somewhere else, where you would be more appreciative, from another company who will reward you for your worth. Don't waste your talent to one who is , draining your resource and then flush you away. It's not worth your effort. There"s a lot of companies, out there, who is willing to take your worth and reward you for your skills. You might be better off, if you have an ill feeling now. Go with your instincts, if something doesn't feel right.
