My daughter and I played "Cookies and Cream" together (PS2) and both loved it. I'm looking for another collaborative game to give her for Christmas.

Some of the sports games (for example, EA FIFA Soccer) have some elements of collaboration, and Gauntlet is somewhat team oriented, but I haven't found anything which requires teamwork so centrally.

Are there any games similar in spirit to "Cookies and Cream" that require collaborative problem solving?

It depends on how old she is, if 13+, Starsky and hutch is an awsome team game. it does involve one person driving and the other person leaning out the window with a gun trying to shoot targets. There isn't blood, you can't kill bystanders, and its not particularrily violent, but it's probabbly best not to give young kids that idea. It plays like you are actually performing for the show, doing stunts increases your veiwer ratings, terrorizing people and crashing lower them. There is lots of co-op and me and my dad love it. (our best sunt so far is my shoting a truck to lower its ramp, while he rode up it full spee to fly through a giant donut)
