Would this look formal? I mean, can I wear it to school with just jeans on?

I honestly dont care if the polo is 'cute,' as long as it's not so ugly that people are going to tell me that.
And I meant light colored jeans

Don't like the top, if you want to look formal w/ jeans (prefably skinny jeans & make sure it's dark colored) wear tops that are similiar to these.

It isn't formal, but it's cute. If you want to do formal and simple, check out some silk shirts, maybe. I'm loving the silk right now. ^_~
I agree about the jeans thing-- maybe a dark tint and yeah, no holes.
Also, accessories! Depending on how you accessorize, almost any outfit can look stellar and party-ready.

Casual but not formal.
The wonderful thing about jeans it that they can be formal. A silk top with matching belt and heels. Not too high, unless you are used to walking in them.

Jeans never look formal, they may be dressy, but never formal. The top is OK. It would look very nice with a short hoodie or a cropped jacket=)

Yeah, it's cute, I like that teal color also. I would wear it with jeans. It doesn't look formal though, it's too casual.

Yes but that top is kind of plain and i personally dont like it. Old Navy has a lot of cuter things then that shirt. Try something else.. Good Luck!

i think so -- it covers enough skin you should be able to wear it to school. i live in florida and people wear not much of anything to school. you can retro 80s it up by putting a button down over it or sk8 it up with a tshirt over it too -- can't go wrong with a polo.
