C=(3R+7)/R
CR=3R+7
CR-3R=7
R(C-3)=7
R=7/(C-3)

Divide through by r, then rearrange to isolate the r:

c/r = 3 + 7/r

c/r - 7/r = 3

(c-7) / r = 3

(c-7) / 3 = r (get this last step by cross multiplying the above)
