I know you asked for male viewpoint answers, and I don't mean to intrude, but I have been in many life situations involving women and my viewpoint is this-if your mother in law is so bold as to make a pass at you, she would be brassy enough to go to your wife, turn the story around, and say you made a pass at HER. I would nip this in the bud by going to your wife and saying something like, "I have something to tell you, I'm very uncomfortable with a situation that happened. I quite sure I didn't imagine it, your mom made a pass at me, and now I don't know what to do. I don't want to come between you & your mom. I need your help working out a solution." Your wife may be unhappy about the news, but she will love your honesty, soliciting her help, and trying to work out the situation. I'm very sorry this happened to you. I love my daughter & son-in-law & I wouldn't dream of throwing a wrench like this into their marriage. I certainly wish you all the best dealing with this.

Somehow, I seem to remember answering this question of yours before, some time ago!
If not, then there are an awful lot of mother-in-laws trying to seduce their son-in-laws.
ANYWAY.........If this is the case and what you say is true, do tell your wife, and let her deal with it, don't try and deal with it yourself, you could get yourself into some really hot water, if your mother in law is a" bunny boiler".
Good luck and don't be tempted into trying the grass the other side of the fence, it's rarely greener!

Hmmm. Tricky. Lots of variables there. Like, how solid are you and your wife? How is the relationship between your wife and mother-in-law? Is your mother-in-law a flirty person? Etc Etc. For me, it would boil down to this. How attractive is your mother-in-law and could you get away with it? If not, tell your spouse. If you can AND your mom-in-law is hot, get down with it....

My 3 times married mum made a pass at my husband in front of me and others and he was loving it. I said in a very loud voice "Go on, Mum! You've had everyone else so you might as well have him too!" My husband looked ashamed and my mum just froze before leaving the room. Everyone cheered and said they wished they'd have had the guts to confront her behaviour before. She'd been hitting on all my friends for years but they were too worried about hurting me to let me know! I divorced not long after too!

if it's happened, just test the ice, very carefully.
just make light of it and say, I think your mum fancies me !!
u could try laughing a little and try not to act nervous like !!
if u put the seed into her mind gently rather than hitting her with a sledge hammer it would certainly be kinder! She might then have words with mum and it would probably be stoney pretty quickly.
to have a fling with her would be a disaster. u need to avoid it at all costs.
all the best.

i would have to say no. if my mother in law did make a pass at me, i'd just make sure to never be alone with her. i think the most hurt it would cause would be to the wife. having to basically choose between her mother and her husband. it's not always best to tell all you know.

I am not a Man nor am I a mother in-law but as a woman I can tell you what I would want my man to do if he found himself in this situation.
I would want him to tell my mother off in no uncertain terms. Make it clear that if this should happen again he will tell me. I would not want him to tell me though as this knowledge would be very hurtful and sometimes no knowing is better.

It would depend, if it was my ex mother in law, then I would have screamed and told everyone about it. But if it was a real good looking mother in law, then maybe my wife would know her mothers history, but its if going to be a he said, she said thing, I would blow it off, unless of course my mother in law tried to blame me for something.
