opinions about anything having to do with politics?

I've learned quite a bit . Both good and bad .

In the Politics section? Extremely rare. There are both conservatives and liberals out there who have something interesting to say. But it's really hard to hear them through the noise of so many people just *barking* like idiots at each other.
I have learned a lot from *answering* a few questions ... basically doing some research to back up a position. I wish other people would at least *occasionally* do the same.

One thing I did learn, the religious crazies, more people listen to them than I gave them credit. I thought people had more brains than to believe the stuff they spout. The other thing I always felt, the Republican Party, somethings wrong in there, after the last six years, I feel it even more strongly. This is only my opinion, it has been overtaken by those whose sole purpose it to make a select group of people obscenely wealthy while they control the power of our government. The American masses are cannon fodder. Whether the people here are Americans or illegal aliens, who cares, we still make money. Our government has turned into a corrupt, self-serving, group of thieves. I hope this last election sends the people who are going to Washington a wake-up, we want results.

Seeing some of the answerees has really altered my perception on how screwed we were as a society. Before Yahoo Answers, I at least though we had a slim chance.

I HELLBENT the liberal lesbian have learned I am pretty mainstream in my party.
I thought I was a far out leftist freak before all of you guys made me feel like family.
(Family is just not a mom, dad, and kids anymore and I want to thank the liberals for redefining family for us).

Hasn't changed my opinions about anything except that the far left wingers are nuttier than I thought they were, and yes I have learned a few things here and there..
