If the Big Bang occurred at a singularity, where did it come from?
Whom/what created it?

God created the Universe.

The answer to that is far beyond our knowledge right now. Yes yes, people will of course say god, but we might one day find out the answer is much less interesting.

String theory says the big bang might have been caused by two membranes (think of giant sheets that constantly wobble) hitting each other, and this might occur all the time, creating countless universes in the process.

But again, nobody today can say............which is why some people come up with the answer of god.

There is a gap in our current knowledge in this regard. This is the traditional place to invoke the God of the Gaps.

Nobody really knows. Most people would say god.
