what video/computer game you played really stuck in your mind as the best waste of time you had?mine prob final fantasy 7

Oh, definately Halo for me in recent times, although I wouldn't really count it as a waste of time because it was imensly fun!!
Alternatively most of the GTA series, now that I can count as time wasting because the opportunity to just walk around doing nothing on that game is ever-present!!

The best one I've ever played was 'Farenheit'. It was so utterly involving and realistic, I played it for 2.5 days from the moment I got up to the moment I went to sleep. I was really gutted when I finished it, as it had been such an involving and original story. There are 3 main characters, but you can change between which one you play at regular points, making the story slightly different each time.
If you can track this down, you should definitely buy it.

For me it has always been and always will be the Shining Force series by Sega. This was my first foray in to the strategy game genre and so far I have not found a game in the genre that can surpass them for sheer fun and I have tried many like Final Fantasy Tactics, all the Nippon Ichi games (Disgaea for example), Vandal Hearts and even Fire Emblem.

FF VII and the first Metal Gear Solid, although Snake Eater is getting there for online play.

Final Fantasy series of course... and a lot of stuff from Blizzard.
The Wing Commander series took a good chunk of my time when I was younger.

I would say Sim City, any version. I say to my self I'll just do this (Zone and area, build a neighbourhood transport system, etc) and then stop, but i just have to keep going until the real world forces me off.

football manager 2000 on ps2 played that for about 2 months solid won everything and accidentally deleted my memory card!
