best teachers r the one who r all through their life a good learner ....one could never be a good teacher if they deny that fact...
to be appreciated ,the basic fact is to appreciate others...teachers r there to teach be it through books or experiences...a student respects a teacher who is always motivating & can support her teaching with live example... & is more innovating in her teaching methods...
appreciate students for their efforts...put the responsibilty of learning on the students themselves...that only a true teacher can do...be open always to students problem ..teachers r main life moulder in students life...a school could ruin their confidence by being just stuck to grades...Grades sure shows the effort of a student but it can never be a final way of judging a students calliber....teacher that use more practical way of teaching sure earn students respect...a teacher needs to do much more homework before taking her class...teacher sharing their hardships & explaining how they walk through it sure helps student to learn & sure get the teacher high in their esteem...
dont ever trample confidence of weak students...its worse thing a teacher could do...understand the like areas of student chk how their weakness can be worked on..& help enhance their strengths.... if all would be expected to be doctors...we wouldnt hav the nurses & the ward boys in world...so wat ever the student seem good in..help them do it the best way...

The best way to be a good teacher is be stern and strict at the beginning of the year for like maybe the first 2 months, then you can let off a little and they will still know you mean business. They will also have a lot more respect for you. Whatever you do do NOT let them take advantage of you, if you ever think they are taking advantage of you go back to being strict immediately.

being in the teaching profession gives us an opportunity to reach to society on a large scale. We have to be real good role models as we are watched and imitated closely by our students.. to be a effective teacher and a good role model we have to be dynamic, disciplined , loving and sensitive towards the needs of our students. We have to have the ability to impress and influence them to be role models that they would like to follow..

To become an effective teacher you must have a special, mental, connection with your students. Jokes are always good to tell when it is appropriate. Use some of their words. You can say "what's up" or something. Be consistent in punishment and be supporting.

you have to believe in them first.
know that they have the ability to do well.
believe in yourself too, in a way that you will always be there for them as a mentor, teacher, and a friend.
help them understand something they don't.
tell them an answer, but not directly. guide them to the right answer...say something like..."are you sure?" "think about what you just asked." answers could be so obvious, they're just probably too aggravated cuz they can't see it. if they really can't figure it out, tell them

it also depends what grade your teaching.
elementary...be a fun teacher. always have interactive learning.
middle school....don't try to be cool. don't try to crack jokes to get them to like you. just be yourself, don't be nervous.
high school...that says it all. your dealing with teenagers. you gotta be a little be harder on them. show them that they really need to study. Get them ready for college and the SATs or the ACTs.
college professor....talk to them like an adult. help them out anyway you can, cuz we all know how college is. STUDY, STUDY, STUDY!

the most important thing....always have a smile on your face. make learning fun. teach outside on a beautiful sunny day. group exercises. extra credit. stuff like that.
remember, always be there when they need help on ANYTHING.
there is a guidance counselor at the school, but you can be one to. just don't replace the person's current job as the guidance counselor of the school, tho.....good luck with that

err...well from me being a student in high school, I've noticed that the new teachers give out like a billion detensions and dock points and crap all the time, but the old/expirenced ones never give out any detensions or dock points, they just say stfu or soemthing, and everyone loves the old teachers, everyone hates stupid ms. c and mr. h names hidden lol

also what works is corny jokes, cause teachers can't relate to students by joking about cheerleading or the football team, just don't try it.

I remember my most inspirational teachers by standing out from the rest, being extremely sociable and warm. I remember wanting to respect and listen the cool teachers who went out of their way to help other kids.

Be the kind of teacher you would like to have.....patient, sincere, kind, and lead by example. Share who you are and genuinely care about your class. Enjoy them.

you have to first have confidence in yourself... be an effective speaker trying to project what your saying to be heard and remembered by your students...i do not know what age level you teach...but make it fun..something you know they like... use it in your learning so they will want to continue learning.

..earn the respect of your students, listen to them, utilize there ideas...make them feel there wanted in your class room, and i am sure you'll have a room full of students eager to go to school everyday.

try to understand what children dont-get to the root of their problems-ie do they feel excluded or shy and that is whats making them act out. understand that while it may seem children are misbehaving-they may be under the assumption that any attention is good attention. teach them kindness and good will
