My best guess without knowing all the detail is that she just wants some attention and to flirt without all the mess of interfering with a marriage. Sometimes, single and married coworkers just go and grab a bite to eat for lunch, period.

This doesnt look good. The wife should ask her husband if she can join them an a few of these lunch dates. Say it in a way that you would enjoy the time with him. Don't make it look like you are spying. If there is neg feedback, then there is a problem. If the husband thinks this would be a great idea , then , the wife should not be worried. They probably are just friends.

Be careful. I started going out with a co-worker for lunch... just friends I would say but he had a hiden agenda the whole time. I have been involved with him for 3 years now. If I had to do it over I never would have.

It doesn't necessarily mean the two of them are having an affair. What if they are having a business meeting together. I have lunch business meeting all the time with my employer (who happens to be a friend as well). We are both married and have no sexual interest in each other what so ever.

Well, it really depends. If this women is your wife, you'll have to ask yourself if there is anything wrong in your marriage. If there is, then her going on lunchdates is a problem. If not, you may want to get to know the man she is lunching with. He may be having problems with his marriage. It is very common for unhappily married people to seek solace in one another, which of course can lead to extra-marital affairs. Just keep your eyes open and don't be naive. When women find comfort in other men, it often leads to much more than just platonic lunchdates.

Well it could be more, but they could be just friends also. There's nothing wrong going out for lunch dates with a married friend. that person could also be their best friend.

If you really want to know what's going on just ask her
if you can go along too. If she has a problem with it,
chances are she's being unfaithful in some way but
if she thinks it's a good idea for you to come along,
then you've nothing to worry about.

I don't believe that a person who is not single should be going on lunch dates with the opposite sex

women are good at being platonic, i dont think that is the case with men, however if shes ever cheated before (on you, or someone before you) thats a bad sign. i think she should show you the respect to not be alone with another man. thats respect.
keep your eyes open, but dont accuse until you have the facts. you dont want to look like a jerk if it is innocent.
