Time - Alan Parsons Project
Time, flowing like a river
Time, beckoning me
Who knows when we shall meet again, if ever
But time keeps flowing like a river to the sea
Goodbye my love, maybe for forever
Goodbye my love, the tide waits for me
Who knows when we shall meet again, if ever
But time keeps flowing like a river (on and on)
To the sea, to the sea
Till it's gone forever
Gone forever
Gone forevermore
Goodbye my friends (Goodbye my love)
Maybe for forever
Goodbye my friends (Who knows when we shall meet)
The stars wait for me
Who knows where we shall meet again, if ever
But time keeps flowing like a river (on and on)
To the sea, to the sea
Till it's gone forever
Gone forever
Gone forevermore
Forevermore
Forevermore

Not a song, but rather a video clip from Monty Python's Holy Grail. The scene where the dead guy is being carried in a wagon and he yells out, "I'm not dead yet!"

"Graveyard" - track #18 from the "Man in the Moon" movie soundtrack... Heard it performed at the Meyerson in Dallas by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and I also played it at my Mom's memorial service... The BEST piece of instrumental music I've EVER heard to date... When they performed it...? You could feel, hear, and were part of this collective sigh... I'll NEVER forget it...

In Spanish there is a song titled 'Solitario' (Solitarily) and roughly translated goes:
Solitaritly thru this world I have always gone,
Without having a single person to love or care for me,
God has always been my one and only true friend,
Oh, oh, oh, oh, solitarily.
This will be my epitaph and on my head stone, 'Solitario'.

This song I would like to have sung at my memorial service is I Was There To Hear Your Borning Cry. (As someone already said I am going to leave my body to a nearby medical school.)
When we first sang it at the church I used to belong to I told my daughter that she would have to use it for her wedding (she was only in 8th grade at the time). Not only did she use it for her wedding but also for her son's baptism.
Whenever I saw that song listed in the church bulletin I got a tissue ready.

Amazing Grace, and I would hope that family would think of my influence on them and want to play Wind Beneath My Wings
