Parenting is the most diffucult job there is and yet children are born every single day to parents who do not have a clue into how to raise a happy child. I mean am I the only one here who thinks this is unacceptable? Many people think I am strange when I bring this up but my parents were so ill equipped to have children. Their mistakes haunt me to this day. Yes I do love them but I wish there is such a school for parenting and that it is manditory. What do you think?

You would normally take parenting classes after you find out you are going to be a parent or right after you have the baby so they can show you how to hold, change, bathe, care for the child.

Yes, I think this is a great idea. I sought out parenting classes right after my daughter was born because I knew that it would help me be a better parent to her. Not all parents think that way. I was shocked to find out that the others in the class had been ordered by Social Services to take the class. Anyway, It helped me lots and I would love to take more for each year that she ages. Children change so quickly.

Great idea, but try and get that going... bet the government couldnt even get that off the ground. The money... Enforcement? Teen pregnancy? Hows it going to work?

It would help thousands and thousands of people though, if such a thing could exist...

That is the best question here! i certainly think so. babies are having babies and i think they owe it to their children to be mentally and emotionally ready to handle the complex problems children go through you have to damn near be a PhD to understand them.
