Dude, he had a nervous breakdown,it was uncalled for.but those guys shouldnt have retalited with words like cracker, they should of walked away. cause there not the ones standing in front of 300-500 people trying to come up with jokes at the top of his head.

I think it was overblown. Millions of people use the n-word everyday and when THEY stop using it, THEN they can jump on the guy. Until then, they are hypocrites. It's either everyone can use the word or no one can use the word.
You can't limit the speech of one race and not the other.

He said what he said, more than once too, hard to apologize for that.

Add to that he's not a stand-up comedian which means he doesn't know how to handle hecklers, and that's what you get.

He gets heckled and he got mad, that's not what comedians do.

It was wrong, but I personally believe his rant was rooted in anger, not hate. I felt that his apology on Letterman was genuine and sincere (because it was so obvious he wasn't prepared for it) and he should be given another chance by society.

I think he freaked out and let his true feelings come through. Those words don't just randomly come out of someones mouth.

I also think his apology is a pathetic excuse for damage control, and I think that heckling is part of a stand-up comedians job.

oh, and I don't want to hear anyone compare the black people int he audience saying "cracker" to him saying N*gg*r-- it obviously is not the same.

I feel sorry for him. He likely has some issues that it would serve him well to look into resolving.

Yeah this is old news, but still, he lost control and should've held himself back.

no offense but this is old news.....I don't think it was appropriate obviously....but the guy replied "cracker ***". Racism goes both ways, and they were both wrong.
