Make lots of eye contact, smile often, introduce yourself,listen carefully, get the order right, check back after delivering the food for quality control, thank the customer for coming and tell them that you hope to see them back soon. The last is so that the customer will remember you for the next time he comes back.

Pay attention to ur customers. Go a bit above and beyond just waiting on them. Ask them how the service is and any other questions when THEIR MOUTHS ARE EMPTY!, When u notice their driniks are empty or running low, ask 'em if they want a refill and give it to them. If they're trying to get ur attention, give it to them, or tell them u'll be right back, and return! Be at their beck and call as often as u can. Customers will notice if it's busy in the resteraunt or not...so keep that in mind; they're likely to cut u some slack if ur dead on ur feet but still manage a smile and to get their order right. Oh, and if the cooks are lagging with an order, make sure to find out why! IF u can't deliver timely service, the customer NEEDS to know WHY, or a tip may be lost even if it's not ur fault. Oh, and give sufficient time to order. Just because ur establishment may not be busy at the moment, don't just ask a customer who just sat down if they're ready to order! Give 'em five to ten minutes before taking their order!

smile constantly and check on them (the table(s) your serving), check on them frequently (but not like every 2 minutes or somethig) and ask them if they need anything else.
this isn't such a good idea, but my friend, she always served the table with the elderly men in their 60's and 70's. why? because she would try and look hot and flirt with the old guys, so that she'd get more tips from them. and plus, the place where we waitressed, served wine and alcoholic beverages, so every 15 or so minutes, she would go and offer them a glass of wine or something, which made the old guys have a good time and she made even MORE tips this way.
but i don't suggest you do this, you would probably get in trouble.
i never did this but it worked for her.
just, be as kind as you can be, wear a big smile and kiss their butt, (not literally though).

Guys love attention n if u give it you'll get the tips.Always be smiling act bubbly they love that.Talk to them ask them how there doing when u see one smilin say something like god you look happy tonight or today i hope some of that rubs off on me or maybe i will have what your having and giggle just keep smilin n talking they love attention remember that.single each one out in front of the other and pay more attention to the one who's paying for most drinks .Well i hope i could help a little.

hygiene-smell nice but not overpowering,easy on the make-up.Never start a conversation.Take the ladies orders first and serve them first.Never clear the table unless all have finish.General rule serve from the left clear from the right.Serve drinks from the right.Train the way you look,by glancing at the tables in your section you can notice if someones trying to get your attention.Be courteous at all times.Unwanted cutlery should be placed on a plate with a serviette.Dont wear fancy jewellery.

Greet them warmly and tell them your name. Make sure you keep coming to the table once in while to make sure every thing's ok, like drink refills, etc. Make the customers feel welcome and that you're truly glad that they are there. When they order something, tell them how much you like that choice too. Be friendly and smile. Laugh and don't be afraid to be a little silly, especially if you mess up.
