Very normal. Unless you're on birth control pills, periods can be very irregular and often discolored. I'm sure you will start in the next day or so. Don't worry about it.

STRESS will halt your period, a normal cycle is every 26-28 days. Relax the brown discharge is actually old blood from your previous period that did not flush completely from your uterus, it is however a positive sign that your cycle is in route. If you do not fully start within the next few days perhaps you should do a pregnancy test to rule that in or out. If it is negative and still no cycle after a week follow up with your Gyn. Good Luck.

Don't worry at all. Periods are usually always irregular especially for the first few years you have it. And the "light brown discharge" completely normal too- for about the first 3 times i got my period thats all it was. It just means that it is a really light flow. Just wear a pantyliner the next few days - it should start before you know it!

STRESS!!!! The biggest reason for skipping periods is Stress. Your period can skip for a month or two depending on stress levels. It's the Holidays, take it easy on yourself. The other causes could be birth control as others have states, medications you may be taking but most likely, it's STRESS. Light a few candles, kick your feet up, have some chocolate and enjoy life.

Like everyone else I would say it most likely is no problem. Most women will have a light first day and the second day will be heavier or more normal and then tapper off. I just took my daughter to a "girl talk" presentation by a public health nurse and that is what the she told the girls. Normal range is 28-34 days.

stress related? sometimes a period can skip like that. Unless you had sex and now you are pregnant.

Anyway, a little brown discharch is usually the first sign of your period. The next day, you may see more. I don't think it's late, you should bleed more tomorrow.

Your period can come late or you can skip it entirely if you are under stress or a change in medication. The holiday season is stressful. I would say in my experience there is nothing you need to worry about.

hormones can be screwy sometimes. You might have just not had much of a build up in the lining of your uterus to produce much bleeding for your period. If you're still in your teen years, or in the peri-menopause years, this is the most likely thing.

Sounds like it is late to me. It can be very irratic at times but no cause for alarm. Everyone is a bit different.
