Is it expensive to get the intake manifold gasket replaced on a 2002 Grand Am GT? My car only has 70,000 miles on it. Is it worth it to get it fixed? Or trade the car in?

We do these everyday in my shop the cost is about $600.00 it is well worth fixing. That is cheaper than 2 car payments. It is a common problem and they have improved the gaskets. Just make sure you have it done at a quality auto shop and not a franchised type service center. Franchised shops are usually on commission and will cut corners to get the job done quicker. Get it fixed properly and you will easily get another 70,000 miles.

Shop your repair places on the phone it should be less than $1,000 and could be more like $500~$600. Keep the car you have a lot more miles left in it (fingers crossed)

Well, it is little bit expensive to replace the gasket. You should ask the local dealer.
