Why do people love to have a victim? Let's face it, all throughout history, societies have designated scapegoats to take the blame for their sins. The ancient romans buried randomly selected people for good luck to the gods. If you've read the short story The Lottery by Shirley JAckson, you'll know what im talking about. But even if u haven't read the book or the short story, why do u think everyone loves a victim?

There is a great concept championed by the psychologist Erich Fromm: people want to escape freedom so they can't be held responsible for anything. A victim means everyone else isn't responsible or to blame for anything, and people like that. It also empowers people to have victims since they aren't the one affected, they feel more powerful but not necessarily more responsible. This is why people have watched talkshows like Jerry Springer: they feel superior to the people on TV.

It did no longer help. inspite of the undeniable fact that, i do no longer think of that it replaced into the determining element. the super situation with Beth Phoenix replaced into how she replaced into booked. the way they did it replaced into completely botched. First, they presented her as Melina's lackey, and then desperate to singles push her, which replaced into fantastic. the undertaking replaced into however, they made her relatively invincible. For months on end she basically destroyed each Diva in front of her, that have been given boring after a on an identical time as. With so few Diva's on the roster in assessment to the male wrestlers, there is only so far you may bypass with that variety of storyline. Then they desperate to scale returned on Beth's perma-push, which replaced right into a competent element. inspite of the undeniable fact that, they made her too beatable. Now, she's relatively basically yet another Diva. She went from being Superwoman, nigh unbeatable, to time-honored in a span of approximately 2 months. no one is going to purchase that. and human beings stopped being concerned approximately her as a results of fact her credibility replaced into shot. As for the Santino tale, it dragged. I recommend, it went on, and on and on...and on some extra. human beings have been given uninterested in it. It grew to develop into what Chavo Geurrero-Hornswaggle is now, boring, predictable and the comparable element, week in and week out. of course Beth is optimal on the ideal in terms of in-ring means between WWE Divas. I had no situation along with her being this dominant presence, yet they pushed it to far and then went to the different end of the spectrum far to quickly. It ruined her.
