No!no!no!no! NO WAIST! Shoulder blade!!!! I dance a lot of partner dances: waltz, rumba, tango and especially salsa. I don't do the shake your booty kind of clubby stuff so maybe that's where you are coming from, in which case I suppose the waist is okay. The sides of the waist, not the stomach and not the back.
But anyway, when you do a genuine partner dance you don't put your hands on her waist. If you are in closed position your left hand is up and she puts her right hand in it. Your right hand is on her SHOULDER blade, NOT her waist. Her waist is delicate. That's where her kidneys are. If you lead her there, you could seriously hurt her. If you aren't in closed position then you are either in open position or you aren't touching at all. Open position is hands clasped together. There are more intimate embraces but come on! This should be obvious. If it's an erogenous zone (like the breasts, butt or even the stomach or small of the back) it's off limits. (Though there are some salsa moves that involve the tummy and tracing a girl's waist.) The more intimate embraces you still keep the girl's right hand and you put your right hand on her right shoulder blade as opposed to her left one.
Any guy who can lead a girl without hurting her is sexy.

hi darl:) i think of u could save on with you r mothers advice and not dangle wiv him in a romantic way. stay "brother and sister" for a on an identical time as. he could wreck up wiv his gf sometime, and if so, u could basically be there for him, and whilst he desires a chum, be that chum. If he desires to be extra desirable than pals, that is his decision. if he isnt comfortable with that form of relationship with you than all you're able to do is settle for that:) and if no longer, don't be discouraged. there are maximum of adult males you may make a choice from.... basically mingle. dont be too flirty however (eg; kissing somebody you purely basically met etc.) coz you dont choose to grant adult males the incorrect concept, and btw, defend you r coronary heart. make useful that the single you choose is keen to do something for you. <3 sturdy success.

Keep your hands to yourself. Old fashion way - waist - is the only appropriate place where you can touch while dancing. I'd definitely slap a guy if he attempted to touch me on my breasts or my butt.

i think you should feel the music, and tek her sings. i mean if she is holding you close, then hold her, and keep your hand off the lower end. but, if it is a sexual dance, keep hands on the lower back.
make sure you also take her signs.

Simply rest your hands on her WAIST. It's very classic, you won't get complaints doing that.
