What do you mean by survive? Machines can keep bodies "alive" for a long period of time, and when doctors are harvesting organs for transplant, they keep the blood pumping through the organs as long as possible.

Certainly people survive with no arms or legs. You pretty much have to have a head. So much for limbs.

Internal organs - if by survive you mean exist independently without machines - you have to have a heart, lungs, kidney - you could survive for a while without stomach and intestines if there alternate ways to get nutrition into your body.

Of course, if your definition of survive includes quality of life issues, then it becomes a whole different question.

ideally, you should get a minimum of 6 hours of sleep each nighttime, at the same time as getting 8 or perhaps 9 is way maximum effective... yet that the "minimum" quantity of sleep needed relies upon on what style of projects you want to finish in the course of the day, and how your body works. Distinguishing the minimum quantity of sleep needed isn't precise, as this quite relies upon on the fellow. Getting purely 4 hours of sleep for a chronic era of time might want to, even if, quite positioned on down your gadget, ensuing in ailment, regular fatigue and different well being complications..

The organs you need in order to stay alive are:
brain, heart, lungs, liver, kidney, skin. You do not have to have limbs of any kind & I know folks who have even lost hips & legs from cancer, accidents, etc.

I'm pretty sure the only limb(s) that you need is/are your head and torso. Your torso and head house all of the essential organs you need to survive.
