It will not end within a decade. There are too many factors that will prevent this from happening. If one nation fails, others will step up. China is also rapidly advancing and is showing much promise in favor of the UN like calming the North Koreans. But Iran, we need to watch out for.

I'd say this probably isn't the best place to be looking for answers to those type of questions... many people believe so many different things.
Personally, I'd say just to not worry yourself over what may or may not happen, just learn to appreciate the state of life now for what it is, and enjoy it to the fullest (responsibly of course).

The only reason why it doesn't seem like it is because the media was never involved like it is now!

The biggest threat appears to be from religion extremism. Should extremists get to use the Bomb, bend over and kiss your a-- goodbye.
