so in our bowling league....we have an anual secret santa and last week was the name drawing...i got the kid Chris that i said i liked in 2 other questions of mine...yesterday we had to give each person the gift, and it just so happens he got me!!! In my gift to him, the card had a heart, and i watched him open it, when he saw it he looked happy. And he got me...so before i openeed it he added something to the card....he said and i quote: " Im touched that u like me, truth is i like u to, but our age difference matters...I broke up with my gf...but im not sure if i want you to be my new one...right now we can "date" but dont tell anyone till next week, im not sure if it is a permanent relationship"

I was so happy i hugged him, then my dad came over and asked my why...i said " i liked his gift dad..." and he seemed to believe it! i guess my question is simple...should i go out with the person i've been crushing on for so long, even with the age difference (me 6th grade him 8th grade)

Yeah go for it!
You've been crushing on him for ages right? Then make it come true. Or you'll always wonder "what if?" Which sucks, I know!

I would say that you should take it slow and see how it goes. If this is your biggest wish coming true then you don't want to give up the opportunity.

Being a mum with a daughter about your age I would be very concerned though. Its partly the age difference and what boys that age want to get up to, and that I wouldn't want my daughters heart broken.

If you take it easy and let your parents see what a nice person he is then there is more chance that they will accept this special friendship.

The fact that you did not tell your father the truth says something about your maturity. The fact that he told you to not tell anyone shows that his intentions are not all that good, otherwise why not tell?

6th grade? Way too young to be involved with boys, in my opinion. But, you should talk to your parents.
