ask him, seriously if he is cerious or not? Maybe the reason why you both laugh about it is because you are not sure and neither is he about if this is what you both really want - until you get a date and a ring - don't worry about it! Just ask him if he really wants to marry you and if he doesn't, then you know.

The ring? The bended Knee? The Date? The meeting of Parents? The Clergy or Judge? The true affirmation of a commitment to each other.
Without discussing, planning, or giving and doing these things, there is no intent.
Discuss honestly if you seek marriage.
Continue as a personal cutsie behavior if you both realize that's what it is.
Laughter would tend to make me think it is a cutsie behavior so far. Life changes. Over time what the question means to you both may change. Communicate honestly with each other, you will find your answers from each other.

He is probably joking unless he pulls out a ring... but do you want him to marry you?? This is how women start thinking about marriage, guys joke about it, then the joke really backfires because women start actually thinking about it! You should propose to him for real... it would certainly startle him!

i think he is just joking. ask him from now on to only ask you to marry him when he is serious about it, on his knees with a ring for you. other then that tell him to stop because that can get so frustrating and can cause hurt feelings. then when he does actually ask you you might not even take it like "oh im getting married!!" just like "oh uh huh ok sure". that sort of thing. this reminds me of the boy who cried wolf, except in your case the boy who cried marriage.

maybe he is laughing because he is embarrassed. when a man asks u to marry him he is putting his heart and his balls out to possibly be stepped on and shot down. If u r not sure if he is serious just ask him and let him know it is not something to be joking about because it a serious lifelong commitment.

Use your instincts. It seems to be a joke. You are discerning that. Don't be a fool and fall for it. Use some common sense and look for a responsible man who will take you seriously and respect you as his partner for life.
