Depends on the dates and times you want to go. My advice to you is once you decide on when you are going, research the prices at these links:

For airfare - http://www.expedia.com
For bus - http://www.greyhound.com

Just so you know, I ran some dates (not knowing yours) and was able to find a lower airfare (low 200's) than the bus fare (high 200's).

On top of the actual price, keep in mind that the price isn't the real "cost". When you travel from Oklahoma to Vegas by plane, it's a short trip. With a 3 hour layover, the flight was 6 hours by plane. If you fly direct from OKC to LAS, it's going to be only about 3 hours, maximum. But even at 6 hours, and add to that 2 hours that you want to be at the airport early, you're only traveling for a MAXIMUM of 8 hours.

On the bus, it is guaranteed that the trip will be 24 hours, and some schedules are longer, like 28 or 30 hours. The bus is not as smooth a ride, it stops several times, and when it stops, it usually has a layover of anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour and a half. This is good to let you get out and stretch your legs and grab a bite to eat, but you'll need it, being cooped up on a bus that long.

Anyway, my advice to you is find the best fare using expedia.com or any other travel site (if you need more, e-mail me and I'll let you know). You should be able to get a cheaper airfare than bus fare. Even if airfare is higher, consider the convenience and ease of travel, not to mention that the bus trip will take 2 full days out of your trip JUST for travelling, not to mention the time you need to relax from traveling when you get there and when you get home.

The ONLY way I can see going for a bus trip is for two reasons:
1. You want to see the country as you travel (scenery, etc.) - but bear in mind that at night you won't see anything anyway.
2. IF the fare works out to be MUCH cheaper than flying, and you can't afford to fly.

Other than one or both of those reasons, you definitely should fly.

If you get reservations at least 2-3 weeks in advance, it's probably as cheap to fly to Las Vegas as it is to take a bus. Bus rides are hell so be sure to fly.

I took a Greyhound bus from Arkansas to Las Vegas 3 years ago..It was my first bus trip, sounded like it would be fun...Take a nice ride across country, see all that beautiful scenery...

I wouldn't get on a bus again with a gun to my head...

Depending on when you go, you should be able to fly for about $200.
