It has helped to generate terror threats against the US where none existed before. It has helped to fuel hatred against the Israeli-US aggressor. (In the Middle East, Israel and the US are viewed as one country.) It has also accomplished th deaths of about 3000 US servicemen and wasted several billion dollars a week in US taxpayer money that could have been better spent at home.

The killing of Iraqis by Iraqis is probably running on a par with what it was during the rule of Saddam Hussein, only then he was the one doing the killing. So the killings are probably a constant.

On the Bush/Saud family side it has settled what the large oil interests wanted accomplished in the first Gulf War.
It has accomplished for the right in America what past legislation would have taken years to do without the Patriot Act. No American truly has liberty any longer except those at the pinnacles of power.
It has established debts that all those who pay taxes (not very many of the benefactors of the Iraq invasion) will be paying for the balance of their lifetimes.
Related to the last point, banks that have financed the war debt will soon be getting nearly 20% of the federal tax dollars, whether those banks be American or not.
It has let the entire world know that the United States, which boasts of freedom rhetorically, will lie, torture, etc. without paying attention to either international law or standards.
Besides the nearly 3000 dead Americans, we are quickly filling Veterans and other hospitals with badly maimed soldiers. Many of our maimed would have died if medicine being practiced today was utilizing the methods used during Vietnam.
It has accomplished making it clear that Bush and his coterie were never interested in catching bin Laden but were thrilled to have his attack as a basis to accomplish everything above.

It's done a great job of reigniting a thousand year civil war between Iraqi Sunni Muslims & Shia Muslims which could very well lead to a larger regional Middle East war between Sunnis & Shia that would make the Iraq war look tame. And Iraq has become the on the job training ground for thousands of new terrorists who want to fight the "crusaders".

ask the iraqie people what it has accomplished. about our troops dieing it is tragic 3000 of our finest has died but they died for a noble cause, ridding the world of a ruthless tyrant. And as far as the more terrorist that is BS most people until 911 had never heard of afgahnistan. 9-11 brought terrorism to the forefront of the nation, so now you actually see it when before you just heard very little about it. And innocent iraqies being killed is not by us its is by the extremist who want an islamic state not a free democracy. No other country or group would fight a war like we have, where you try to minimize civilian causlties and our troops are paying for it. If we took the gloves of and fought to win we would have less troops dead, an overthrown iran bc iraq would defintely been working more efficeintly thab it is now, and less terrorism because a lot of them would be dead. Guess what people a lot of people in the middle east ahted us before and would hate us even if we didnt go in. a lot of people like us over there but you wont hear about that on the news because our meedia hates america and so do most liberals...go to france you stupid liberals and live and then see how great america is!

The Iraq war has established many important precedents in military, diplomatic, and economic areas that are necessary for the defense of freedom, liberty, and western civilization.

If those principles are of no value to you, then the war has accomplished nothing but death and destruction.

If those principles are important to you, then it has accomplished much but indeed at a high and terrible cost. The Tree of Liberty at times must be replenished with the blood of Patriots and Tyrants.

God Bless America and its service men and women.

It has accomplished the deaths of almost 3000 of our men and women.

It has accomplished the death of thousands of innocent Iraqi citizens.

It has accomplished an increase in terrorists.

It has accomplished making other countries, including our allies, distrust us.

It has accomplished an extremely low approval rating for our president.

It's accomplished a lot.

The criminal slaughter of over THREE THOUSAND of our young people and the extermination of many thousands of Iraqi lives. That's a legacy that wannabe King George should be very proud of because it puts him right up there with Hitler and Stalin.
