No the UK will not be getting a "White Christmas".
Christmas "White or any other kind" has been banned by the political correct overlords as offencive to followers of other religions. They want Christmas to be known from now on as just a winter holiday. This is already being taught in some state schools already.

A mild Christmas is predicted for Southern England, Wales and Ireland this year, so no white Christmas unfortunately.
However, the first 3 months of 2007 are supposed to be bitterly cold with a good chance of snow then.

It used to be that an official White Christmas was defined as "Snow on the roof of the BBC Broadcasting House". I have heard that this year they are not having anyone observing for this (maybe cost cutting?) and so they will rely on reports via the internet to the BBC weather page.
I guess that means that it is our hands. You can bet someone will say they have seen snow - Even if untrue.

It is certainly unlikely here in the South East.
Usually we get a wet Christmas.

Not where I live. Might move to Scotland though. They usually get snow. I only hope it snows on my birthday again. Done it for the last couple of years.
