I never really liked any of his movies even though they've all gotten the highest praise by critics....he's definitely a strange man....I agree with you.

He has made some of the funniest movies ever. His early stuff was just fun, while his later does involve a lot of his neuroses.
I really liked Annie Hall, Broadway Danny Rose, Purple Rose of Cairo, Bullets over Broadway and Manhattan Murder Mystery.
I cannot get into his serious films like Interiors, Hannah and her Sisters.

Much of his later work is quite intellectual.
You need to be well grounded in ancient history, mythology and philosophy to "get" most of the jokes.
Almost anyone can laugh at his early work, but he no longer writes for a mass audience.

I love Everyone Says I Love You, but that's mostly cause of Edward Norton... I really did love Everything You Wanted To Know About Sex, But Were Afraid To Ask. That was pretty hilarious...

I think Woody Allen had his day; and yes he was quite brilliant. I think the whole marrying his step-daughter really hurt his career. He is also getting up there in years, and is not doing as much as his younger days.

Yes he has made me laugh. In his old age his self absorption is very unfunny.

His films tend to be a bit too dry & cerebral for most. Check out "Sleeper" or "Zelig"; I quarantee you'll get a laugh or two from either of those.

Are you crazy? He has made some hilarious movies and touching as well. Like the Purple Rose of Cairo,Hanna and her Sisters, Manhattan, and Sweet and Low and Down. I think you are just to young and maybe immature or your sense of humor is dull.
