No the part circled is NOT the drain plug. But, the good news is, the drain plug IS showing in the picture you provided. Look at the top left corner of the photo you provided. The drain plug is made out of plastic, which makes it fragile so use caution when removing. It has a "cross" shaped pattern on it, similar to a philips head fastener. Removing the lower bracket in the picture fastened by the two 8mm bolts will make access easier. Hope this helps.

Doesnt look like a drain plug to me. I would guess that the tanks on the radiator are plastic and there should be a valve with a plastic handle somewheres on the bottom of the tank. To my knowledge radiators have always used valves and not plugs to drain the radiator. Less chance of getting scalded if you have a valve that can be opened gradually.

Nope, thats not even on the radiator. Looks as the drain plug is plastic, and is on the rear side of the radiator, after you take off the splash shield.

lol people are so funny. some of the answers on here are hilarious. There is no drain plug on the 99 contour. Simply remove the clamp on the hose to release the fluid( make sure your cap is off first so the pressure is removed

Mounting nut for condenser, or possibly a cooler , is what you have circled. I agree w/ the other guy, pull the lower rad. hose.

If you don't have a petcock valve, which looks somewhat like a bow tie, you need to take it to a mechanic.
