Too dangerous to use aluminum because of the reaction time. The ball comes off the bat faster. It puts the pitcher in harms way and the ball travels much further off aluminum. There have been numerous studies done and it was determined that the record books would have to be re-written if the major switched.
Those who say the wood gets the batter more pop don't know what they are talking about.

Technically you can hit a ball farther with a wood bat than an aluminum bat. The main difference is the size of the "sweet spot" on an aluminum bat. It is easier to get hits and hit the ball a long distance with an aluminum bat because you don't need to hit is as perfectly as with a wood bat. You would be seeing alot more hits with aluminum than wood as any swing could send the ball into a gap.

I think it has to do with the history of the game and a certain desire for "purity" if you'd call it that.
Besides, if you ever watched a college game, hearing the ball go off the bat is just wrong compared to the >crack< of a wooden bat mashng a home run.
Also, aluminum bats are so much lighter that they can be swung crzay fast and can launch the ball like a missle and injure pitchers, dugout personnell, or fans

Ever heard of Bryce Flory? He got hit in the eye by a hard as hell hit ball off a wood bat. He took a very long break from baseball after that to let his eye recover. Had that been an aluminum bat, he would have died. His skull would have been broken into pieces, the ball would have gone at 200 mph at him.

The Mlb players would kill the ball with a aluminum bat. They would have to make the fence set at 600 feet.

the reason being because previously in early years of the game there became no such element as an aluminum bat. there became purely timber. so as it really is what it really is and could ever be. also an aluminum bat contained in the fingers of someone like pujols, the go out % of the ball off the bat will be so severe it would kill who ever became in its course. seem into BESR certification.

MLB players are too strong too use aluminum bats. Aluminum bats require less force, and wooden bats require more... basically MLB players would get homeruns every time they went up to bat

The players are way to strong to use aluminum bats. They would destroy the ball and hit hrs every time.

They tried going to aluminum one year and it was a disaster. Every batter that made contact hit a homerun. Not to mention that the bats shattered.
