Well, if a girl's boyfriend is hitting her but the whole time telling her he loves her, I would think that the actions are speaking louder than the words.....unfortunately this is so difficult for women to hear when they're in abusive relationships.

They sure do. Ever heard the phrase "easier said than done"? There's a reason behind that. It takes more initiative to do something than just to say words, which are quickly overwith.

Of course that's the "nice" side of actions speaking louder. Nothing says, "I don't like/love you" by stabbing a person in the back (figuratively; you don't have to do it literally...although that speaks loudly, too!)

yes thats my fav quote bc its true. Ex. Some1 can tell u that they nvr said anything mean to u but then they go thru ur stuff & steal/use/look thru all ur belongings that they like then they deny it or don't even return the items & say they "never said anything mean.." well actions speak louder than words!:) see its true.

Actually, no, they don't. They do scream, however, when you step on them. It's an ear splitting sound that makes your teeth ache and your @$$ draw up in a knot. The last time I stepped on one, I had IBS for a week.

Yes. Here's one: Mom says, "If you do that one more time, I'm going to kill you." Jr, of course, does it not one more time but 40 more times- and will live to do it another 40 times. He KNOWS Mom doesn't intend to 'kill' him.

Also think political promises...

We can use our brain to say anything... but what we do has a sub-conscious root and we can't really control that 100%.
