Best advice you can get is to stay away from a chiropractor. There are back and neck specialists you can see. Your general practioner will refer you.

How do you know it is a sciatic nerve problem if you have not seen any one?
The scaitic nerve is the largest in the body and runs from the low back down the posterior glute and into the leg. Sciatic pain can manifest as low back, sacrum, hip, glute, posterior leg, calf and foot pain in a specific pain pattern.
The sciatic nerve can become irritated/compressed at the spine where it originates or in the glute muscles which become tight and impinge this nerve.
Consider massage therapy, chiropractic, osteopathy or yoga therapy as options to help relieve and prevent sciatic pain. Don't self diagnose - if there is a disc injury than self-therapy can lead to worsened condition.

you dont need a doctor well ok yes you do but SERIOUSLY LISTEN UP HERE......... usually sciatic nerve trouble stems from either inflammation or it could be because of tight muscles compressing that nerve which you know comes from your lower back down the posterior(back) of your thigh check out a massage therapist i can promise you amazing results!!!!!

Physical Medicine or Neurosurgeon or Orthopedic surgeon.
You start with your primary care physician and get conventional xrays and an MRI. You have the specialists I mentioned review the films and consult with you. You work with a Physical Therapist.
