I'm planning on doing that cheat on Nintendogs where you keep the game on overnight when you brush your dog, and you have to keep the game charged while you sleep. And I'm just wondering, is charging Nintendo DS for, like 7 hours a fire hazard?

Oops, I forgot to say it's a DS lite, not the "Fat-DS".

Good for your battery? No.

A fire hazard? Not likely. Unless there is some sort of defect or short in it's wiring or cord, it shouldn't be a problem. My sister left hers charging for days on end.

Unless you've been really, really rough with your DS there shouldn't be any ill-effects beyond shaving off some of it's battery life.

A "few" Nokia chargers have been reported to seize fire some years in the past and a few of their batteries exploded whilst charging yet they have been recalled and caught. My telephone is often charged in one day and that i've got been for years.

I left mine plugged in for days, when the battery is full it stops charging anyway, so long as youre using the correct cable and a safe socket it should be fine
