I am going to the doctor's this week to check for HIV and STDs. I would like to be safe and I was wondering what the doctor would do to check for these kinds of tests.

I am very nervous and scared.. I don't like doctors much x.x

They will do a pap smear anyway (to check for cancer or pre-cancerous cells) as part of your yearly check-up. But you have to specify you want to be tested for all STD's so they know to perform the right tests with your pap smear.

They also will draw your blood and have it tested for HIV/AIDS and Syphillis. They will contact you when they get the results back. Good luck hun!

The doctor will probably take some blood or do a pap smear or something like that. If you have abstained from sex or have had protected sex, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

the doctor will do an internal exam, with a pap smear, and take blood to test. He will also ask you why you aren't using condoms!

The doctor will probably have you do a urine test and have blood work drawn for tests as well.
