The Star Wars live-action TV series is a science fiction television series currently set to debut in 2008, and will be an Expanded Universe production set in the fictional Star Wars galaxy. The project, which has yet to be given an official title, was first announced in April 2005 by Star Wars creator George Lucas at the "Celebration III" fan convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.

According to official reports, the series will be set during the 19-year timespan between the films Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. It will focus primarily on minor characters of the Star Wars galaxy, rather than the main ones seen prominently in the films. These minor characters will be both from the films and the Expanded Universe. However, Lucas has stated that some of the main characters may make cameo appearances. Rick McCallum has commented that "George envisions somewhere like 100 hours between Episode III and Episode IV", which implies that the hour-long series will run for several years.

Certainly seems to be. Two shows in fact. Another animated/CGI piece most likely on Cartoon Network again and probably once again dealing with the Clone Wars period. And a live action show about which very little is known for certain yet, which hasn't stopped people from speculating wildly. Lucas himself may be directly involved with it at first, or at least that's the current plan. And it will most likely be set in the period between the two trilogies. Of course, this is all very preliminary, no real work has been done yet, so it could still vanish in a poof of smoke one fine day. Once a network has been announced and filming is underway, it's much more likely that *something* will get produced. Until then, cross fingers and hope.

Dear Lord I hope not. The movies are enough and the story is over. Let it die with a little dignity will ya.
