I hate the fact that for the 2nd year in a row my son won't be with me. As a teenager he was more of a shadow in the household as he passed through.
An occasional dinner, a Hi Mom I am home, a car in the driveway, 10 minute conversation a few nights a week and 1 or 2 tv shows a month. Now, he is grown up, in the military and I am amazed at how much I miss him.
It is worse again this month, as I watch the Christmas shows we watched together every year.
AntiChristmas NO! Anti-loneliness ..for sure.

It is a total lie. if you do the research on the origin, you will find that is originated as a pagan holiday called Saturnalia which was worshiped on dec. 25 and the Roman Catholics needed to do someting about this terrible celebration so they started the holiday called Christmas and made up the whole story about Christ Jesus being born on this day and surprisingly they beleived it just like every body else. And they coat it with the gift giving and Santa Clause and everything else that makes it sound fun and holly but it has nothing to do with true Christians. And we all know the opposite to true Christians. that is what I hate about Christmas. If you want to do the research yourself, I highly recommend it.

I am not anti-Christmas, but I can't STAND this time of year! There is so much stress, so much money to be spent. I also work in the biggest, most popular mall in my city (and the three surrounding cities), so you can imagine how crazy it gets.
People are so rude this time of year, too. They expect store workers to use their psychic powers to know exactly what they (the customers) want as soon as they enter the store...Geez.
Merry Christmas?

If you wish to be pleasing to God, you should leave Christmas alone. It is a pagan holiday that no true Christian celebrates. Do a little research and you will find that what I'm telling you is the truth.

I absolutely HATE that X-mas has become more of a COMMERCIAL holiday rather than a religious one. I feel that too many of us are focused on purchasing material thing; and thinking less about the birth of Christ. Businesses have won you over in thinking it is necessary to lavishly spend on your loved ones gifts to prove you are a "giving person". I don't believe for one second that Christ had this in mind. It's mind-boggling to observe otherwise sensible people run around like chickens with their heads cut off around this time of year.

I used to hate the tedious Christmas shopping as well, but when I started thinking of the happy faces of the recipients of my gifts, my spirits get lifted.

People bickering over "happy holidays" vs "merry christmas" and "holiday trees" vs "christmas trees. Also, people trampling others over the latest "must have" thing and the commercialism.
