Why do scottish pipers don't wear underwear? OR why is it said so?

I do wear underwear and I am not scottish or piper.

Ages ago it was customary for the Scots to fight... naked! The kilt was designed to be quicky thrown over the head. Strange, but true. Now days, they probably just wear shorts.

Because that is the culture of the kilt that dated back hundreds of years.
