Acura is the choice if you want to resell the car after a few years. If you want to keep a car for 10+ years.. Take the 328i.
Acura has a good residual value within 7 years of its existence.
328i has costly maintenance but as far as durability and the fun driving you will get because of german engineering.. that is priceless...

Bang for the buck...TSX hands down. I have owned a BMW in the past and now own 2 Acura's a 05 TL and an 06 MDX. I'm a Acura man for sure!!!! My brother has a TSX and it is not a bad car at all. It's very nice inside and peppy under the hood. Good gas mileage and you get all the respect of the Acura name brand. It is a entry level luxury car, but for the price of what you get for the money...Acura is the better deal...Plus BMW's have electrical problems. Go with the TSX. It's a sharp little car. I think you'll be happy with the purchase and also have an extra$8-10K in your pocket to do other things with.

It depends if you're a performance-type guy - the TSX is loaded with value, the 328i is the benchmark. The TSX is a front driver(torque steer), the 328i a rear driver. BMW has free maintenance on all new cars for 4 years, not sure about Acura. If you're looking for a keeper, Honda/Acura build quality is among the best. If you want to say "individuality", get the 3 (same thing why I got a 330i). Again, it depends on your personal taste

Get the Acura. They are far more reliable than BMW-- in a ranking of the most reliable automakers, from best (in reliability) to worst, Acura was Number 1 on the list. BMW and most of the other European makes were near the bottom. Plus, in my personal opinion, I feel that the Japanese luxury makes (Acura, Infiniti, and Lexus) generally do a much nicer, higher-quality job on the interior than the German makes.

Give us some idea on what you are looking for in an auto and then we can best help. Both are great vehicles, but differ greatly. It all depends on the person buying them and what they are looking for.
Both have excellent resale value, although the BMW is industry standard. The BMW is a solid performance driver, but the TSX is not too shabby for a FWD auto. You can mod up the TSX to a good degree if you are looking at that route, while the BMW can only be touched up with minor upgrades (as compared to the major upgrades J-tuners perform).
Ask yourself what you are looking for in an auto, ask yourself what you are willing to pay (TSX will be significantly less expensive), and then go and test drive both of those autos. Cannot stress that more; TEST DRIVE AND TEST DRIVE! That will help your decision greatly.
Good Luck mate.

the bmw is a far better car as far as performance. It out brakes, and outhandles the acura without breaking a sweat. the acura is an overpriced honda. And as far as the bmw being costly regarding maintenance, that's far from accurate. the bmw will cost you absolutely nothing for 4 years. Free maintenance, including brakes. Can't beat that, can't beat the bmw.

both cars have smooth little engines, but...
performance driving is better with rear wheel drive.
rain, snow, gravel or sand, front wheel drive is no fun.
BMWs are relatively easy to maintain, but the parts are expensive.
