Which of these is a good bet for a 30k car? Of course the BMW is gonna cross over to 35 + range once u load it up as the Acura but still. I have heard some good things and some bad things about the Acura but one of the dealers is willing to give me a good deal on a 2006 model. Its fully loaded with Nav system and all. The BMW is a good car too but requires costly maintainance.

Bang for the buck...TSX hands down. I have owned a BMW in the past and now own 2 Acura's a 05 TL and an 06 MDX. I'm a Acura man for sure!!!! My brother has a TSX and it is not a bad car at all. It's very nice inside and peppy under the hood. Good gas mileage and you get all the respect of the Acura name brand. It is a entry level luxury car, but for the price of what you get for the money...Acura is the better deal...Plus BMW's have electrical problems. Go with the TSX. It's a sharp little car. I think you'll be happy with the purchase and also have an extra$8-10K in your pocket to do other things with.

TSX is probably 10K cheaper and will drive just as good as a BMW, its only 4 clynd but it is fast! I have driven it as a loaner car before and its not bad. My friend has a 325xi and I was not impressed with it at all. But BMW gives you all maintance for free, acura does not offer that. Better value is the Acura in my mind. Why don't you get a TL if you are in the 30K range? It would kill a BMW on the highway anyday!

For $30K, your better choice is Acura TSX with Nav, auto and numerous safefty features. Not to mention it's a 200 HP 4 cylinder, which should be good on gas.

I was comparing the TL to the 328. I ended up with a TL. Less money, residuals are about the same, lower repair costs on average for the Acura. I did extensive research. Plus the TL is much larger than the BMW. The real question is - the rsx or the TL?? you might want to look at the TL, too.

p.s. got mine in blue. it's great!

first compare what each of the cars offer, test drive them, get prices. try getting prices from different dealers. It is up to you which car is for you- since you will be driving it for hopefully a long time. I own a tsx-6speed-love it but that's my opinion. Alot of the bmw come with free maintenance for the first 40,000 miles- i am not sure about the 328i

TSX is an awesome car. It's a honda so it'll last forever as long as you do the maintence. From what i understand the newer TSXs are maintenence free for the first 100k (other than tires, oil and brakes) But BMWs are great cars as well. Either way you will get an excellent car.

Just a small tidbit, I have an 03 325xi and its like $125 to get my oil changed. Stupid European Synthetic Oil...but the car and maintentance is worth every penny!! Which is why I guess I still have it!
