Are you in the US? I know that nearly all the states, if not all, have sex offenders in a registry you can access by internet. Look them up for the City your are looking into. You can also get maps showing where offenders live. Don't let this give you a false sense of security though. There are certainly rapists or other offenders who don't show up. So always be prudent and cautious.

No. But the sexual predator list is public, so you should check it yourself, as part of learning about the place you're considering moving to.

The landlord is under no obligation to tell you - but there are plenty of websites that will. Furthermore, contact the law enforcement agency for that area, they should be of some help.

no but you can go on line to the state,town.zip code. and your local police dept../ will tell you if there is one on the street.. best.to call during the day and use the non-emergency no.try call ing the school district..also local pediatricians all so post them,,,your state;; dept of corrections have a level 3 sex offenders list.with addresses..............
