Talk to a school guidance counsler.

I know that sounds dumb but you need someone to talk this through w/. My one friend was cutting herself cause her parents are drunks and completely physco. But she got help and she's stopped and is happier now.

As far as your question goes: I cannot comment on what to say to her, because you did not explain this part very well.
As far as you hitting brick walls and/or metal poles to hurt yourself goes: if you cannot control that part then you do need the assistance of a counselor to help you through your frustration/anger. Talk to someone you trust about this to see if and what can be done so that your problem does not escalate. The reason why you are hitting something is because you get angry and anger is depression....Good luck

Write her a letter or just go up to her and say with a sincere heart that the two of you need to sit down and talk over the problem. If she refuses then all guilt that you have felt is over and go on with your life and make better friends. Do not hurt yourself over someone that means you not well. Sometimes I have seen people of this nature become the best of friends. In this situation it seems someone needs to forgive someone.

You say nothing to her. You don't need this crap in your life, complicating things and making you distracted from what you should really be doing. Ignore the hell out of her. It will make you feel better to be that strong, and it will piss her off at the same time. Sounds like she deserves it.

Do both of you a favor, either talk it out. It sounds as tho you might have so growin' yet to do, it sounds to me like you need to make a decision to live with it or get out of her life

I'd say either try to talk to her if she doesn't want to talk just ignore her and get on with your life...
