Being 'asexual' means that your friend is not attracted sexually to anyone, male or female, and/or she doesn't like or want sexual behavior. Could be also mean that she doesn't want to identify sexually (either in appearance or attitudes) as a woman or a man.

Asexual means able to reproduce by means other than sexual intercourse. It is also used by people as an insult to someone who cares very little about sex.

In biology asexual means that organisms can reproduce within themselves, without having sexual intercourse with the opposite gender.

But your friend means that she's not having sex with anyone.

they don't want sex. they aren't interested at all.

to reproduce asexually means you can have babies without having sex (humans can't do this).

it means "without a gender,"

but some people use it to say they're not hetero or gay - they're not interested in sexuality at all.
