The guy is one of the most accurate field goal kickers in the league; why was he kicked from the Dallas Cowboys?

An even bigger question: why was Jake Plummer benched after only two bad games? Both players are really good!

A coach who wanted a kicker he could count on to make a pressure kick. Vandrejagt had confidence problems and confidence is the only real asset a kicker has.

I feel bad for Plummer but if you make as much money as he does then you better deliver every week. He'd been iffy for pretty much the whole season. Wonder where he's going to play next year ??

i'm an avid colts fan, vanderjagt did lose his self belief after the steelers interest, however the guy is a huge kicker and he suffered a leg harm at first of the cowboys season. as quickly as his leg can totally heal he gets picked up by way of fact there are a number of communities in the league with way worse kickers than him, and his ego is a lot to important to enable his self belief stay low lots longer

Vanderjagt was inconsistent this season. I think he already missed 6 FGs or something like that. And to answer your "even bigger question", Plummer just sucks.

anyone who wants to win would cut vanderjagt and bench plummer. Its not like he played 2 bad games. he played a bunch of below average games and 2 attrocious games. There are a lot of bad qbs that started this year.

I was afraid of making these claims but since youv'e said that I agree with you....

1. Mike is good regardless...oday Kris Brown and former 1st round pick Janikowski missed their FGs.

2. Jake and the Broncos are in the wild card and you start a rookie...does Mike Shanahan think Jay Cutler is the next Tom Brady who well lead tham to a Super Bowl?

I think this was a Jerry Jones thing. He has lost his mind!! I agree with Plummer playing. It's not like they are out of it. They still have a shot a making the playoffs.
