in the commercial, there are a ton of different mascots for every player that has a shot (no matter how small) at the Heisman. For instance there are Trojans, Buffaloes, and Gators in the ad, and there is also a giant boulder or rock. WHAT TEAM IS THE ROCK A REFERENCE TO? my only instinct is that the Colorado Buffaloes are located in Boulder, Colorado but that just seemed stupid to me. thanks for the help.

I wouldn't of known if I didn't have a friend who is a die hard Ohio State fan. It's a buckeye!!!! It is not a rock but a buckeye fruit. Check out a picture of the fruit on wikipedia, you will see the similarity.

The rock you are referring to is actually a giant buckeye. I had the same problem at first 2.

It's a Buckeye, which is a poisonous nut. If you look at the side, you see the light part - the top of the nut. Similiar to an acorn.
