I do not know at what level you are studying. The most beautiful thing about Physics is that it compels you to think and then further encourage you to experiment and think together. If you do not want to experiment, think about other's experiment. Make your theories, check them for consistency, predict things for other experimenters to do experiment and check the consistency of your theory with others. Physics does all this to discover the nature of everything around us: which at this stage of knowledge can be called manifestation of matter / energy or both. Physics is the ultimate knowledge of the ultimate. Understanding everything else will finally boil down to only physics and physics. Physics is like God for all religions of the world. Finally Physics would discover God or search for God will discover the ultimate cause and structure of this universe. Astronomically speaking man is nothing, but astronomically speaking man is the astronomer! Mathematics helps physics to express its profound laws in ultra simple formulae, such as: F = ma, E = hf, l = h/p, E = mc^2, H[psi] = i(h/2pi)d[psi]/dt [f=frequency, l = wavelength, psi = wavefunction] just beyond this the Maxwell's equations. Technological and logico-scientific journey from Newton to Stephen Hawking is simply mind-boggling. People who excel in mathematical insight are not interested in putting the facts in simple language. People who can put these aspects in simple words, languages and similes are wary of the mathematics and yet the truth of that all is visible to us in the success of the newest gadgets of laser, computers, nuclear power manufactured by man and the details of the universe created by God.

I love physics, it broadens your mind and out look on life, it helps explain why some things are the way they are, more impotently it will help you weed out fact from fiction or religion. I was told once that knowledge is power and the more you know and understand the more powerful a person you can become. I have found this to be true, I never have stopped studying physics, astronomy or, anything else for that matter that has to do with the universe, I mean come on there is so much out there and there is so much to learn, and you know just like I do that you can not stop learning if you do you set your self up for failure, so with physics you will never stop learning the amount of info is incomprehensible, the possibility's are endless. To know is to not wonder. Don't give up on physics, try to remember what it was you wanted to know in the first place and if you learned that then, ask other question and never stop asking........Good Luck Friend.

Life is so much more INTERESTING with explanations for what you observe:
The moon looks larger when it's on the horizon
A rainbow
A train approaching has a higher frequency than when it's going away from you
Whe you hit the brakes on the car, you need to be careful not to hit them so hard that you skid.
When you water the lawn with the hose, the ange of the nozzle determines how far away from you the droplets will hit the lawn. Using Physics, you know that this is 45 degees. You can verify it experimentally.
Finally, here is a story from my last week. My husband had a medical test, and came home radioactive! It turns out he was radiating 5 milirems an hour. A week later, it was 10, which was completely consistent with the half-life of thallium, which was the medicine he was given.
Physics makes all of this more fun and interesting.

Physics will help make things easier to do in life.
Solve problems. Teach others an easier way to do things.
Fun learning and testing hypothesis. You could invent
something new and make millions. Laws of Physics are
hard to avoid in everyday life. Now are you interested!
