Remember them drinking strait wiskey each time they walked into a room and their wasn't a shot without at least one lit cigarette?
I miss movies making white people into blacks, Asians, Middle Easterners, you know, whatever the case was instead of just hiring that particular racial group needed.....
ahhhhh those were the days......

RJ: Please list all the movies where they are doing drugs and it is normalized and not counter culture,
Are you familiar with old movies? It wasn't just one movie, they were drinking like fish and smoking like chimneys in ALL of them!!!!!

No nudity
No swearing
No messed up 'families'
No kid smarter than the parents
No drugs
No promoting deviant behavior
It has gotten worse and if you think this isn't bad - Hollywood has done it's job!
What will they do next?

oh yeah, those were the days when the bigots were allowed to openly show their stupidity.
Certain things in the newer movies I can live without, the nudity, profanity and such. So in those ways some of the older movies were better.
But all of the black face, people of certain races pretending to others, I can live without. So no in that case those were not the days to try to romanticize.
If a movie calls for a character of a certain race, they should hire someone of that race. And not insult people by paying a white person to go around in dark face pretending to be something that they are not.

Ah, those good old days. I liked when you could string up a man without one of those P******y trials. The days when the cops could kinda do their own thing and if you weren't their friend they'd let ya know it. I remember a great old movie where the only blacks shown just jumped around chucking and jiving. It was called Bluegrass. The grass was bluer then too.
Damn, we had morals then....

Yup they were cleaner than today, people did smoke in movies. What I cant believe is they want to digitally edit out people smoking in the classics, the seems like such a shame. Those movies were perfect the way they were, like Rebecca and Roman Holiday, both lovely movies.

There were some really good black actors back then. I liked Willy Best in Ghost Breakers and Eddie Anderson in Topper Returns.
I think the story plots were better back then.

Having several sexual partners, including children and animals, and blowing up or killing innocent people or subliminally preaching tolerance for Islam in todays movies is much less threatening to our society than booze and cigarettes. Gosh! thanks for waking me up!

Yeah... And the good guy would always get the girl at the end (even thought in real life he was gay). How much we love pretenses!
