It seems that every time we put up Christmas lights, it is a very stressful experience. Does anyone else experience this?

Oh H&^% Yes! I think the purpose of Christmas lights is to make the world angry. What I hate the most is this, You try them out, they all work, you get them hung out, you plug them in, and BAM! THEY DON'T WORK! LOL

Why else do you think it is only attempted during the time of year when people are at their most charitable and happy levels? If this occurred during the balmy Summer months, violent crime rate would sky rocket only slightly slower than alcohol and tobacco sales.

Laughing Out Loud (really!). YESS! I HATE putting up those GD things! One year, when I was pregnant w/our son...I went totally batso on my poor husband (we idiotically got a blue spruce tree, which is like barbed wire!) and almost threw the tree, lights and ornaments out the window!

Get a balsam...or a pre-lit tree!

Yes, if you don't have any help and if the lights are all tangled up. My advice have a drink and think of better times, it will be more fun and creative.
