im really doubt that manning will be benched this season. usually they would have already clinched the AFC south by now, but this season SD breathing down their back, but if they do bench Manning, then drop him and get jacobs, assuming jacobs is the best player you can pick up in FA or waivers. Jacobs does seem like a good idea because i think the passing game isn't what it use to be, and jacobs will see the ball more in the red zone. hard for (Peyton) Manning to get you points if he's benched

to awnser other people's question, if the colts get home field for the playoffs early, then Manning will get benched so he can stay healthy for the playoffs, because there really is nothing to gain after you get home field for the playoffs, so might as well make sure your star players will be 100% for the playoffs. Manning will start those games but will be in one drive, maybe two. some coaches also might bench their star players after the clinched the division, usually if they know they cannot get home field.

but again, san diego has the same record as the colts, so the colts will need every win they can get.

Peyton Manning will not be benched. they are fighting for home field advantage , after losing yesterday they wont be able to do it untill the last wek of the season. Plus like Brady he does not sit even if the game is in the bag.
