I like both steak and lobster but lobster can be very expensive. I usually go for steak but if lobster is at a reasonable price, I'll get the lobster.

Both, of course, are quite tasty. And that has tempted restaurants to serve Surf 'n' Turf. But the combination doesn't quite work out. It has to be one or the other, just as you are asking us to make that choice.

I choose lobster. Not the tail, which is usually available only frozen or thawed. I'm talking about the whole lobster, alive only minutes ago (I feel guilty about that, BTW) and now on your plate as you rip it apart. It is sweet. It is buttery, thanks to that little cup of melted butter. It is tender. And, due to its recent slaughter, it is fresh.
